Why inbound leads deserve outreach
Someone who fills in your form or visits your pricing page has already shown interest. They're the warmest leads you'll ever get, and the ones most often left waiting. A quick, personal follow-up on LinkedIn or by email while you're still fresh in their mind turns many of them into conversations.
How it works
You connect three things:
- Your source: a form tool such as Fillout, or a website-visitor tool such as RB2B.
- A no-code connector: Zapier or Make.
- Zevari's API: the connector saves each person as a lead and adds them to a list.
Saving a lead sends nothing. Nobody is contacted until you add them to a campaign, and every message still follows your approval settings.
What you need
- A Zevari API key. In Zevari, go to Settings → API and create one. You need an active subscription with a connected LinkedIn sender. Each key belongs to one workspace and one sender, and it expires after the period you pick. The key is shown once, so copy it somewhere safe and treat it like a password.
- A Zapier or Make account.
- Fillout (or another form tool Zapier supports), or RB2B.
- For forms: a field asking for the person's LinkedIn profile URL or work email. Zevari needs at least one of the two to save a lead. Name and company are a bonus.
Step 1: set up the trigger
For a Fillout form: in Zapier, create a Zap with Fillout → New submission as the trigger, and pick your form.
For RB2B website visitors: in Zapier, create a Zap with Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook as the trigger. Copy the webhook URL Zapier gives you and paste it into RB2B's webhook settings. RB2B sends the visitor's LinkedIn URL and first name. Turn off repeat visitors in RB2B if you only want each person once.
Step 2: save the person as a lead
Add an action: Webhooks by Zapier → POST.
- URL:
https://api.zevari.ai/v1/targets/save - Payload type: JSON
- Headers:
Authorization=Bearer <your API key> - Data: map your fields into a single target:
Leave out any field you don't have, but keep at least the LinkedIn URL or the work email. If the person is already in Zevari, they're matched by their LinkedIn URL rather than duplicated. Someone saved with only an email can end up saved twice, so ask for the LinkedIn URL when you can.
The response includes the saved lead's ID in data.ids (in Zapier, Data Ids). You'll use it in the next step.
Step 3: add the lead to a list
Add a second action: Webhooks by Zapier → POST.
- URL:
https://api.zevari.ai/v1/targets/createList - Headers: the same
Authorizationheader. - Data:
Use the same list name and the same API key every time. If that key already created a list with that exact name, Zevari adds the person to it instead of creating a new one. Use a different name for website visitors, like "Inbound: website visitors," so you can treat them differently.
In Make, the recipe is the same: a Fillout or webhook trigger, then two HTTP → Make a request modules with the same URLs, header and JSON.
Turn the Zap on and submit a test entry. The test person should then appear on your list in Zevari.
Step 4: work the list
- Open the list and make sure new people are scored. If any are unscored, score them when you choose who goes into a campaign.
- A couple of times a week, add the good fits to a campaign at your normal pace.
- Pick a template that suits how much you know:
- Connect, email if they don't accept, for form fills where you have a LinkedIn URL and an email.
- Three cold emails, when you only have an email.
- Already connected: three messages, if they're already one of your connections.
Keep inbound leads in their own campaigns, separate from your cold outreach. They respond differently, and you'll want to see their numbers on their own.
