Find people who just changed jobs

A steady weekly list of people who just started a new role at companies that fit your ideal customer, scored and ready for a campaign, without anyone having to post about it.

Why job changes matter

Someone new in a role is one of the best buying signals there is. They have a mandate to make changes, a budget they haven't committed yet, and no habits locking them into the old way of doing things. In their first months, they're actively looking for what to fix.

The best way to reach them: connect early, and lead with one useful insight about their new role. Skip the "Congratulations on the new role!" message. They're getting dozens of those.

What you need

  • A Sales Navigator LinkedIn account connected to Zevari as your sender. A free or Premium account alone won't work for saved searches.
  • Your ICP filters: the titles, company sizes, industries and regions you sell to.

Step 1: build the search in Sales Navigator

  1. In Sales Navigator, start a Lead search (people, not accounts). Zevari collects people searches only.
  2. Add your ICP filters: job title or function, seniority, company headcount, industry and geography.
  3. Add the Changed jobs filter (in the Spotlight filters, "Changed jobs in past 90 days").
  4. Check the results. If they look right, copy the search URL from your browser's address bar.

If you started from an account search: re-enter your company size, industry and region filters in the lead search by hand. Boolean keyword strings and account filters don't carry over from an account search to a lead search.

Step 2: add the search to Zevari

  1. In Zevari, open Prospecting on your AI team and add a search.
  2. Choose Paste Sales Navigator URL and paste the link.
  3. Name the search, for example "Changed jobs: ops leaders."
  4. Pick a destination list, or create a new one, like "New in role."
  5. Choose how often it runs: daily or weekly.
  6. Save and start.

Zevari runs the search on that schedule, remembers where it left off, and adds only people who aren't already on the list. A big search lands over days or weeks instead of in one huge pull.

Step 3: let ICP Scoring sort them

New leads from the search are scored in the background. Not everyone who changed jobs is a buyer: some moved into roles that don't fit, and some joined companies outside your market. Your 4s and 5s are the ones to work.

Step 4: put the good fits into a campaign

Add the best-fit people to a campaign at your normal daily rate (see Pacing). Good templates for new-role outreach:

  • Warm up, then connect: a profile view and a like before the invite, then a message that picks up on their new role.
  • Connect and say hi: one invite and one question about what they're tackling first.
  • LinkedIn-active core: for score 4 leads who are active on LinkedIn.

In your first message, offer one specific insight relevant to the first months in their role: a common trap, a quick win, or what others in the same seat fixed first.

Tips

  • Keep this search separate from your other searches, and run it into its own campaign. New-role leads respond to different messages, and you'll want separate numbers.
  • People change jobs every week, so a weekly schedule keeps the list fresh without collecting the same people twice.
